Rick in Japan

I lived in Lahaina on Maui for 4 and a half years. It is a most beautiful place…Paradise. However, in 1984, I left and moved to the land of the Rising Sun to try and learn the Japanese language. The plan was to return to Maui and cater exclusively to the Japanese tourists. BUT… the language is VERY difficult. the good news is that teaching English was second nature to me. The people, the food, the culture, the landscape were all appealing. I found a wonderful partner and simply put there aint no one luckier than I. MAUI memories are fantastic too, and I share some here with you.
